We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, and Discover). Many clients have Health Savings credit cards or checks that they use to pay for their visit.
We are not contracted with insurance companies. As a result, fees are paid in full at the time of service. We will provide a receipt and a coded visit bill (called a superbill) which many patients use to file with their insurance company as an out-of-network claim. The out-of-network portion of most policies usually covers a percentage after an out-of-network deductible has been met but we encourage you to check with your insurance regarding the specifics of your policy.
Laboratory and Radiology Services
Lab orders for blood work are drawn in our office by an experienced medical assistant. The lab company with whom we partner, Quest Diagnostics, bills the medical insurance directly (or the patient if they do not have insurance). By billing the insurance directly, the patient does not have to worry about excessively high fees upon seeing the Dr. Byron.
Though we do our best to code your lab order in a way that will justify specific tests being conducted, insurance companies have begun covering less preventative procedures. Therefore, we cannot guarantee coverage.
Radiology services are provided by our preferred partner AMI, a local radiology firm located a few miles (10 minute drive) from our office. They provide a full range of radiological services and bill the patient’s medical insurance directly as well (or the patient if they don’t have insurance), thereby eliminating any worry about excessively high bills upon seeing Dr. Byron.
